About Me

My name is Femy. I work full time as a government employee. I live in Belleville, Ontario with my husband Rick and 2 kids Chelson and Jared and of course our 2 cats cuddles and skip. I love to create. I love to quilt, machine embroidery, cross stitch and card making, beading. I also like to write poems, short and longs ones :). Sometime in 2008, I was introduced to rubber stamps. I’ve been making cards for a while but have never used stamps before. I was also introduced to markers called Copics and started using them May 2009. Now I am hooked. So here in this place I call my own, I will share with you what I create and hope I inspire you to do a little creating yourself.

I actually made a card without using Copics.  I have been used to my beloved Copics that I was a little surprised I was able to make this one.  I do love Spellbinders.  I needed something that I can use for a class I will be teaching  in June.  There are still a lot of people who are not comfortable  with Copics so I wanted a sample that didn’t use Copics.  I also wanted to challenge myself not to use any image at all.  This turned out well.  I call this “Pop Up card with an Attitude”  I used a lot of my Spellbinders:  Eyelet,  Lacey circles, and  the flower is done with the classic scallop spellbinder. I used a prima rose in the middle to finish it.  Papers are from Basic gray Sweet Thread line.  I also used a Martha Stewart & Stampin Up punch.  The butterflies are from Hero Arts.  Sentiments are from CC Designs.  Cardstock are Bazzill.  Here is a side view:

Here it is when it is flat.

I am entering this to these challenges:
