About Me

My name is Femy. I work full time as a government employee. I live in Belleville, Ontario with my husband Rick and 2 kids Chelson and Jared and of course our 2 cats cuddles and skip. I love to create. I love to quilt, machine embroidery, cross stitch and card making, beading. I also like to write poems, short and longs ones :). Sometime in 2008, I was introduced to rubber stamps. I’ve been making cards for a while but have never used stamps before. I was also introduced to markers called Copics and started using them May 2009. Now I am hooked. So here in this place I call my own, I will share with you what I create and hope I inspire you to do a little creating yourself.

Distressed already!!!!!

This is the  Anniversary card I made for my husband this year.  I used a lot of  Tim Holtz products. (distress inks, stamps, crackle paint)  Of course I used Copics to color the image. Really like this image Chester from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  Perfect for this card. I also used a lot of different techniques in this one.  I wanted to see if  I can do something vintage.  All together, I am happy with the result.  Here is the poem I wrote  for my husband for our anniversary.

T’was the mid of April
When my sister gave to me
Your friendship letter
That she couldn’t respond to you see
Not because she didn’t want to
But because I believe she wasn’t meant to.
A month it took for me to write
I did not really know what to say or what to hide.
From behind my mind I heard someone say,
Write the truth no matter what, but most of all
You must speak from the bottom of your heart.”
And so I began to write and started something magical
And two years later I realized,
When you told me that you love me,
While holding my hand you asked
Will you marry me?”
And now 18 years later here we stand.
Strong as ever that was our plan.
Holding on to each other hand in hand is the key
Trust, communication and love had to be
To keep our family I call mine.
And now I know, we are just going to be fine !
