About Me

My name is Femy. I work full time as a government employee. I live in Belleville, Ontario with my husband Rick and 2 kids Chelson and Jared and of course our 2 cats cuddles and skip. I love to create. I love to quilt, machine embroidery, cross stitch and card making, beading. I also like to write poems, short and longs ones :). Sometime in 2008, I was introduced to rubber stamps. I’ve been making cards for a while but have never used stamps before. I was also introduced to markers called Copics and started using them May 2009. Now I am hooked. So here in this place I call my own, I will share with you what I create and hope I inspire you to do a little creating yourself.

First Kiss

Hello again :).  As promised, here is my second card for today.  This is the card I gave to my hubby. He gave me 3 large red roses :).  Love them.  I always have a problem making masculine cards.  Most of the stamps I have are on the cute and girly side and so I focus my masculine cards on colors.  I found a leftover dark red cotton thread.  I wasn’t sure if there was enough to make a heart. I was lucky, I had  5 inches left after the heart was done.   I also wrote  the phrase that says “A simple note to say, I will always love you every day. This I know right from the start. And this message comes from the bottom of my heart!’  :-P I didn’t want to put too much “bling” in this card.  I thought the heart embellishment is enough.  The stamp is from  Stampavie by Sarah Kay called First Kiss. The papers and cardstock  from CTMH.  I used Spellbinders label 1, pendant  & piercerabilities and MS heart border punch. The image was stamped using memento black ink and colored with Copics pictured below.

I am entering this card into these challenges:

Lots to do – Love is in the air

I had fun making these cards.  Not like me to have 2 posts in one day.  I would love to have more time in the day.  I go to my full time job and then  there isn’t enough time left for all the things I want to do.  But one thing I always am proud of is  I make the most of what I have.  I am happy to be able to share with you these creations.  Thank you for your visit.  Please come again.
