About Me

My name is Femy. I work full time as a government employee. I live in Belleville, Ontario with my husband Rick and 2 kids Chelson and Jared and of course our 2 cats cuddles and skip. I love to create. I love to quilt, machine embroidery, cross stitch and card making, beading. I also like to write poems, short and longs ones :). Sometime in 2008, I was introduced to rubber stamps. I’ve been making cards for a while but have never used stamps before. I was also introduced to markers called Copics and started using them May 2009. Now I am hooked. So here in this place I call my own, I will share with you what I create and hope I inspire you to do a little creating yourself.

Halloween Album for a friend’s Birthday

I was off from work for 6 weeks & totally enjoyed it.  My friends birthday was while I was off.  I made this for her and gave it to her this week when I returned to work.  I am happy how this turned out.  I am not really a Halloween fan so I didn’t have any Halloween stuff.  I found paper from Michaels and some embellishments.  I used Recollections Boo & Ravenshead Manor paper collection.  Stampin Up Spooky Fun stamp set. Halloween scenes edgelits and Boo to you famelits & Sizzix parchment die.  Also used my Cricut to cut out some Cricut Cake Art phrases.  Embossed some with Ranger embossing powders.  I found Kelly Pinacci K&Company die cut cardstock from Amazon.   I used my glue gun to create a spider web design and cut out from cricut seasonal cake art witch & cat.   I then painted it all black and accented with Inka old gold. This is the first one of 2 albums I completed.  I will post the other one next week.  See you soon.

Mixed Media

Here is my recent dabble into mixed media.  I am new at this so I am just learning.  There is a lot to learn about all the materials you can use.  However, I do enjoy learning new things creatively.  I like using different things to create texture and thinking of ideas of what to create next.  Currently, I am always looking at videos to get some ideas and improve my learning on the different materials and tools I can use to create mixed media.  I hope you also try to learn something new everyday.  We are never too old to learn.    Thank you for coming.    I will post more mixed media as soon as I can.

I have been enjoying creating these cards.  Using a package of 6 by 6 paper pads.  It makes for a quick project and you have something on hand for when you needed a card for any occasion.  I am one for not placing any specific sentiments on a card so I can use it for whatever occasion I needed.  Although mind you I also make lots as a birthday card or jsut because since these type of card can also be used for other occasion. I keep forgetting again  to take pictures and lucky me I got this one.  I got the idea from Kristie Marcotte.  I love watching her videos for creating these cards.  I know you would too as it is quick and easy..

Why don’t you visit her site and watch her videos, I know you will be hooked.  Come again.

Christmas In July

I know July?  Yes I am late.  I just wanted to share this card I made.  I cannot really remember where I’ve seen it before, but I would say about 99% it would be from Youtube,  Just cannot remember who or the name of this technique card.  I will just call it one of the tri-fold cards.

I used Stampin up cardstock.  Colored the image with Copics.  The image/sentiment are all from old collection as well at the paper.  Use Spellbinders for to cut the scalloped shape.  Another short post.  Come again.

Christmas in July

I know it is September but I made this card sometime in July thinking of Christmas.  I already had blog posts scheduled so I could only post this now.  I am as you know an addict of Magnolia Stamps. As you can see this is one from an old collection.  I have all of my Magnolia stamps to the very first stamp I bought & don’t have the notion to sell any of them.  I just have to figure out how to store them.  Any suggestions, please email me :).

The paper is also one from stash and old one as well. Most of the supplies I used for this card is one from stash and they are old and probably cannot be found in any store any more.  Of course I used my Copics to color the image.  I used scallop oval Spellbinders to cut the image and the card base.  There is 2 Maggie image in this card.  When the card is closed it shows one image & when the card is open the other image shows as it slides on top of the first image.  I hope you get an idea from this one.  Thank you for coming and please come again.
