About Me

My name is Femy. I work full time as a government employee. I live in Belleville, Ontario with my husband Rick and 2 kids Chelson and Jared and of course our 2 cats cuddles and skip. I love to create. I love to quilt, machine embroidery, cross stitch and card making, beading. I also like to write poems, short and longs ones :). Sometime in 2008, I was introduced to rubber stamps. I’ve been making cards for a while but have never used stamps before. I was also introduced to markers called Copics and started using them May 2009. Now I am hooked. So here in this place I call my own, I will share with you what I create and hope I inspire you to do a little creating yourself.

Lace Shawl

Ntalie's Shawl

Not a card post for today.  I crocheted the above lace shawl for a friend and co-worker who is retired in June.  She gave me a box of crocheted threads that was her mom’s who passed.  She thought I would be able to use them.  I then thought to make her retirement gift out the threads.  Everytime she uses/wears it she will remember me and her mom.

Of course she loved it and so did my other co-workers.  I will miss at work.  She was always the one I would go to for help when I get a brain fart with work  .  I am happy with the shawl.. I probably have enough crochet thread to make one for me.

Anyway a short post.  I thought I would share.

Good Doggie

One of my old Sarah Kay stamps.  Isn’t this a cute one.  I made this into an easel card as someone commissioned me to create this card. She also wanted me to include a cat or a dog with a little girl.  I thought the card looked cute.  My friend liked it too.

Hanging Tilda

I created this card for a friend who needed a lift.  I thought the bright colors would elevate her spirits. I also thought this cute Tilda will make her smile. I used Copic to color my Tilda.  I don’t like using my handwriting as I really do not like it.  I created this card without any sentiments and  I needed the card to say the words.  I don’t have a stamp with these words and I really didn’t have the time to create one on my computer, so my handwriting it is.  Anyways, all in all I think it looks okay.  What do you think?

Masking

I wanted to try masking.  Here is the result.  I love these images so I put them all together.  The sidewalk is basically created with Copic Markers.  The sentiment speaks for itself and is very true.  I have only a few I can call friends.  I have a lot of acquaintances, but friends only a few that I can count on.  I keep them close to my heart and will always cherish them.  I used Copics to color my images.  I used Xpres It paper with memento tuxedo black ink.  I hope you will try some masking to create something unique. Thanks for coming.
