About Me

My name is Femy. I work full time as a government employee. I live in Belleville, Ontario with my husband Rick and 2 kids Chelson and Jared and of course our 2 cats cuddles and skip. I love to create. I love to quilt, machine embroidery, cross stitch and card making, beading. I also like to write poems, short and longs ones :). Sometime in 2008, I was introduced to rubber stamps. I’ve been making cards for a while but have never used stamps before. I was also introduced to markers called Copics and started using them May 2009. Now I am hooked. So here in this place I call my own, I will share with you what I create and hope I inspire you to do a little creating yourself.

A co-worker on my team retired last month.  I was in charge of creating a card that has a lot more spaces for wishes then the regular A2 card.  I was also given the theme of the sea & light house. This is the card I came up with.  I think I will be creating this type of card a lot more often for this type of occasion.  I created one similar last Christmas.  It has lots of real estate for everyone to write thier wishes.  I had this stamp for a long time and I cannot remember who made it.  I bought this stamp a long time ago & forgot I had it.  I loved the image so much that I used it a lot in the last few months.  I was sad when the store I bought this stamp from closed.  It was 45 minutes away from me but still a good store with lots of crafty things.  Mostly now I buy my craft suff online.  There is no other carft store close to where I live, except for Michael’s & they don’t really carry exclusive stuff.  Anyways, I hope you like this card and try to create one.  Thank you for coming.

New stamp from Stampin Up “Beautiful You.  I really like this stamp set.  I created this card for a friend.  She needed a card for someone retiring from work.  She wanted a scene where someone is carefree & having fun outside (nature) I showed her this stamp set & gave her an idea of the background. I also used Stamoin Up’s new colored pencils.  I enjoyed ceating this card.  I hope you visit again.

Here is another card I created, a while back.  I resisted posting this one for one main reason.  I have to give credit for this card design to someone out there. This card I know I saw on one of the numeorus videos I watched on a regular basis.  However, I cannot locate the video I actually watched. There might be a few videos that looked similar but I really wanted to give credit to the one video that gave me the inspiration to create a similar one.  I even looked at my history folder and no luck.  If this is your design please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.

I love the the look of this card,  it is a very easy sketch to follow.  I created a few of the same color  bundled them together and used it as gifts sets. I didn’t really plan to use them to bundle them as gift sets.  I needed a host gift  for a party I was invoted to and these were on hand.  Of course forgot to take a picture of the box I created for it.   I had this stamp set for a long time and wanted to use it.  I believe, I go this as a gift from one of my friends/studens who attended one of my classes.

Here is another easel card. The image is from Whiff of Joy, Elizabeth Bell.  I created this one quite a while ago.  I have been pretty stubborn parting with it.  I  don’t know why but I seem to want to keep this one.  So, for now I will keep it close to me.  There will be a time when I will give this away to someone, I just hope that someone will treasure it :-D .  Easel cards are one of my go to cards to make.  It is quite elegant but also quick and easy to make.  There is a lot of videos out there for creating this kind of card.  I for one am very thankful for the videos and tutorial that is available out there.  I am very incompetent when it comes to uploading videos.  I have tried it once and never tried again.  Am just glad, there is alot out there who has the patience to do this.  Ok peeps, just a short post.. Come visit again.

More playtime.  I created this but didn’t know what to do with them.  I love the flower, and cutting them on the bigshot.  I guess I can just have them ready for something.  I know it will come to me later.  This is the stampin up Rose Wonder with the thinlits.  I bought this and never got to really play with it.  I wanted the flower to pop up so I used plain whisper white cardstock.  I enjoyed palying with these stamp set.  This is one of those days where my mojo is hiding
