About Me

My name is Femy. I work full time as a government employee. I live in Belleville, Ontario with my husband Rick and 2 kids Chelson and Jared and of course our 2 cats cuddles and skip. I love to create. I love to quilt, machine embroidery, cross stitch and card making, beading. I also like to write poems, short and longs ones :). Sometime in 2008, I was introduced to rubber stamps. I’ve been making cards for a while but have never used stamps before. I was also introduced to markers called Copics and started using them May 2009. Now I am hooked. So here in this place I call my own, I will share with you what I create and hope I inspire you to do a little creating yourself.

Here is a Father’s Day Card.  I made this for my special someone.  Stamp set is Tim Holtz.  I used a lot of distress inks.  Stampin up cardstock and ribbon. I collect a lot of the pop can tabs.  I used some alcohol inks to color it and used it kind of a blet buckle.  It works and looks okay.

Anything Card

I was going for a clean and simple card, however this is what I came up with. The image is form Whiff of Joy old images by Elizabeth Bell.  Simple and easy I think.  The only focus is on the image.  No sentiment again.  Just a card ready for anything.  One of my anything card    I mentioned in my previous posts that I like to create cards ready for any occasion.  I don’t usually place any sentiment on the front.  The inside of my cards are usually blank.  I have a few sentiments and greetings ready on hand.  The greetings are created on my computer and ready for cutting.  The sentiments available on hand are already stamped and ready for sticking on the front.  There will be different ones, and different sizes and shapes.  I thought to share how I have my cards ready for anything that I would need on short notice.  I also get asked from work, friends and relatives if I have anything ready for a specific occasion.  Well, sometimes I am able to help them out, sometimes I think I do and when I look in my stash, there is none that would be suficient for the occasion they need.  This is why I create anything card and have sentiments and greetings ready on such situations.  I hope you got ideas from this post.  Have a good day and thanks for visiting.

Masculine Card

Playing with more ink and being messy.  No sentiment yet,  I can use this one as masculine birthday  or a father’s day card.  The ship image is from Flourishes A Guiding  Light Set#99.  Yes this set is an old one.  I have used this set many times and will keep on using it.  I love the images and sentiments on this set.  Paper is an old one from CTMH. I used pop dots to create a 3d effect.  Getting ready for Father’s Day    I am supposed to be thinking for Mother’s Day card ideas for my yearly contribution to charity.  Well this is one of those weeks wherein I can’t find my mojo.  So I am listening to my audiobooks and just creating, and this is what I have come up with.  Now back to thinking for Mother’s Day Cards.  Thank you for visiting.  Come again.

Something quick and easy.  I was organizing, and finding some tools I have forgotten I had or to use in a very , very long time.  I started playing with my embossing folders, ink and brayer.  This is the result.  Nothing really to this technique.  I know there are lots of video turtorials out there.  Why don’t you try it out.  It is fun and messy   Thank you for coming today.

More Tilda

I had colored a few of these old Tilda images for a 3 x 3 card.  I thought to use some on one card.  I don’t usually make this size card.  I liked the regular 4.25 by 5.5 size.  Nothing fancy creating the card.  Jut a 5  x 5  Whisper White cardstock, I used an old designer paper for background.  Stick all images to a scalloped black die cut and there you go.  I know I love coloring with my Copics.  I like to just color the faces, I have a few stamped with Tuxedo Black memento Ink ready for coloring.  I color when my brain doesn’t cooperate with me.  There is a lot of times my mojo just disappears, so I color.  Just something for you to consider,  You don’t have to use Copic Markers,  they are not cheap as you might already know.  Use what you have on hand.  To create soemthing beautiful, all you need is paper and pen/pencil.  To give it color use any coloring tools you already have or the one you like/prefer.  I hope I give someone inspiration to create today.   Thanks for coming today.
